Mayor of Guisborough’s Charity Wine and Cheese Evening Includes wine, cheese & nibbles

The Annual Guisborough Town Council Best Dressed Window competition saw a high standard of entries this year with Daisy Bloom & Oh Abigail on Chaloner Street with their Swan Lake theme being judged as the Best Dressed Window by Guisborough Town Council Vice-Chair, Cllr Mrs Hazel Meynell and Guisborough Citizen of the Year, Heather Barker.

Guisborough Town Council held its annual Local Craft and Produce Show in Sunnyfield House on Saturday 10th August. The show attracted a good variety of exhibits and the standard was excellent throughout all of the sections.

The Town Council introduced a young citizen of the year award, also presented by Guisborough Mayor, Councillor Mrs Janice Skelton, she said; “I am pleased to be the first Guisborough Mayor to present the Young Citizen of the year awards, which are being awarded to three young people who have been nominated and chosen for their work within our local community, these awards are to publicly celebrate their valuable contributions and acknowledge their citizenship work”.

At the Guisborough Town Council annual Civic Evening, recently held on the 27th September, Guisborough Mayor, Councillor Mrs Janice Skelton awarded Mr Steve Simpson, Guisborough's very own 'singing street sweeper' with the Citizen of the Year Award.
