Oh, Abigail Awarded 2021 Best Dressed Window Prize

The Annual Guisborough Town Council Best Dressed Window competition saw a high standard of entries again this year with a total of 49 businesses based on Westgate, Chaloner Street, Chaloner Mews, Fountain Street, Bow Street, Market Place and Church Street being judged by Guisborough Town Council Mayor, Cllr Mrs Hazel Meynell and the 2021 Citizen of the Year, John Tennant on Friday 3rd December.

Oh, Abigail on Chaloner Street, with their highly attractive display, were judged as the Best Dressed Window for the third year running.

Runners-up this year were Dandy Threads on Westgate with their winter woodland scene and SH Reily Optometrists on Chaloner Street with their townscape scene.

All three award winners were presented with a certificate marking their achievement and a hamper purchased from No 30 Westgate.

In addition to the main prizes, the judges decided to award ‘Highly Commended’ certificates to both Curtain Boutique on Westgate and Cat’s Whiskers on Chaloner Street.

Guisborough Town Council are delighted to have been able to judge an additional 14 businesses this year and would like to thank all of the businesses in the Town for their superb efforts to bring the Christmas spirit to the town’s shopping areas in what has been another difficult year for everyone. The Town Council very much hope that both the number of businesses choosing to decorate their windows and the standard of the competition will continue to grow in the years ahead.
