Play Areas

Guisborough Town Council has been committed to the improvement of all play areas in and around Guisborough.

In May 2000 the Skate Park at King George V Playing Field was opened by the Guisborough Town Mayor. This was an innovative approach and followed meetings and workshops with young adults who helped with the design of the Skate Park. In 2001 the Town Council were able to provide new play equipment for smaller children at the play site which is situated at Butt Lane.

The sum of £10,000 was allocated towards play equipment installed at the new Community Park in Dunsdale.

Working in partnership with Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council, a Play Area was opened for smaller children and is located at King George V Playing Field.
